If you are trying to lose weight, todays 3 tips should be a part of your daily routine.
1. Set your workout clothes out the night before
You are set and ready to go, no excuses. Exercise first thing in the morning is the best time to boost cortisol, and set your metabolism on high fat burning mode for hours after! Ever missed your workout class because you couldn’t find your workout towel or gym pass in the wee hours of the morning? Ensure you have everything ready to go the night before. I’ve even had ladies go to SLEEP in their gym wear so they don’t have the excuse of needing to get changed to exercise.
2. Meal plan and buy groceries to the plan
I am a strong believer of failing to plan is planning to fail. In our modern, busy lifestyles it is easy to wind up at 6.30pm no dinner plans then reaching for that frozen meal, uber eats or a carrot stick and a packet of chips for dinner! At the end of each week look in your pantry to see what’s left, plan your Monday meal to use these items. Then plan the rest of the week’s meals. Write your grocery list from your plan and ONLY buy what’s on that list. Again – put your plan on the fridge and stick to each meal. You will never be stuck for what to have, waste less food and save money!
3. Eat and exercise how you love
If you hate running, don’t run! Simple. Find a physical activity you love doing – it might be yoga, salsa dancing, rock climbing, beach walking, hiking, bike riding or dancing with the kids.
The same goes with food; if you hate broccoli, don’t force yourself to eat it! Find meals and vegetables you like. If you love pizza; find some healthy recipes to recreate and allow yourself to have the foods you love. PS – we have a carb-free pizza recipe on our blog – check it out!
Or maybe fatigue isn’t really an issue, yet you can’t budge the fat around the torso.
