Why did you become a naturopath?

I have always had an interest nature and health, this led to my first undertaking Environmental studies. After being accepted to study Resource Management at Newcastle University I became aware that a Bachelors Degree in Herbal Practice was being offered, I without a thought transferred to the program, and have never looked back since graduating in 2007.

Why did you join The Lucy Rose Clinic?

After graduating my Bachelors Degree in Herbal Practice, and after operating a herbal dispensary in pharmacy for 8 years, I decided it was time for a change; I was interested in private practice however when I saw that The Lucy Rose position had become available I applied without hesitation, and much to my delight I secured a practitioner position in 2015.

What is the most memorable moment you’ve experienced at Lucy Rose?

The most exciting and memorable moment I have had since becoming a Lucy Rose practitioner was when Dr David Brownstein came to Australia for a series of seminars in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. I was lucky enough to have attended all 3 as a staff member.

How do you think you can help patients?

After 4.5yrs with The Lucy Rose Clinic in the Newcastle clinic, working with Lucy’s core protocols and my own style as a practitioner, I have built much confidence and knowledge in order to help coach my patients to move toward a life of wellness in mind, body and spirit.

Why did you become a naturopath ?

I have always been interested in nutrition and natural medicine. My parents taught me from a young age that when you eat well and look after your health – you will have more energy, feel better and be able to live a fuller life. I decided to become a naturopath as I was looking for a career where I could really make a difference in people’s lives, as well as use my innate interest in health and nutrition.

Why did you join The Lucy Rose Clinic?

I decided to join the Lucy Rose Clinic as I had heard about the amazing protocols the clinic used in dealing with Thyroid conditions. In my previous practice, I could see how wide-spread thyroid dysfunction was, and knew it would be amazing to work alongside experts in this field to help people overcome their thyroid conditions.

What is the most memorable moment you’ve experienced at Lucy Rose?

The most memorable moments are when clients tell me that “you have changed my life!” I have clients hugging me and weeping with joy at the fact that they now have the energy to live! And I feel so proud to be able to help them achieve this.

How do you think you can help patients?

I love to spend time with my patients to really understand the underlying cause of their symptoms – looking at all aspects of their life – including their physical, emotional and mental state. I really enjoy working together with my patients to develop a treatment plan that they can use to reach their optimal health.

Why did you become a naturopath ?

Having suffered severe acne, gastrointestinal problems, urinary tract infections, cold sores, fatigue, poor immunity, menstrual irregularities and more, I’d undergone every treatment and seen every specialist recommended. It wasn’t until I met my first Naturopath that these issues started to change for me. Their nurture encouraged me to explore holistic practice in order to educate others about the workings of their bodies – how to listen to symptoms, the importance of nutrition, lifestyle and the power of herbal medicine.

Why did you join The Lucy Rose Clinic?

Because they have a functional and thorough approach to treatment.

What is the most memorable moment you’ve experienced at Lucy Rose?

Being able to work in the dispensary is always a fun day for me! Blending each practitioners remedies is always exciting and keeps me up to date.

How do you think you can help patients?

By educating them on their symptoms, so they can maintain their health long-term. I want my patients to understand that life is about living and everything should be enjoyed in moderation.

Why did you become a naturopath ?

I previously worked in advertising strategy and was moved to pursue natural medicine after receiving treatment for hormonal issues from my sister, who is also a naturopath, which I found life changing and inspired me to help others in the same way

Why did you join The Lucy Rose Clinic?

Because of the scientific, integrative approach to health, the work that we do and the amazing team that I get to brainstorm with and bounce ideas off every day. It is great to be able to work alongside and learn from such talented practitioners to help me give the best treatment and service possible to my patients.

What is the most memorable moment you’ve experienced at Lucy Rose?

Any moment where I am helping patients and all the small to big moments along the way. It is just as rewarding to put a patient with Hashimoto’s into remission as it is to be able to help someone feel more relaxed, hopeful and at ease about their health journey than when they walked through the door. They are all the memorable moments that make the job so amazing!

How do you think you can help patients?

I am a client-focused practitioner and a firm-believer in an integrative approach to health that works alongside conventional medicine and combines evidence-based practice with traditional knowledge to achieve the best results for the patient.

Why did you become a naturopath ?

When I was in school I worked part-time at a health food store where many oncology patients with cancer would shop. I saw the amazing life-changing results herbs & natural supplements had on these clients & their quality of life with the correct recommendations & dosages. I knew I wanted to do this myself & to support people daily with many different health complaints.

Why did you join The Lucy Rose Clinic?

The Lucy Rose Clinic stood above the rest as they have the same goals as I do, to help our clients restore their lives again, specifically those with thyroid & hormonal issues! As soon as I met Lucy in my first interview, I knew I was where I was meant to be!

What is the most memorable moment you’ve experienced at Lucy Rose?

Having a client of mine tell me that I have ‘saved her life’, what an amazing thing to be able to do!

How do you think you can help patients?

I help my patients everyday to feel better in their own skin! Some of my clients haven’t felt good for decades so it is always such a pleasure to restore their health through diet, natural supplementation & herbs. (Refer to my reviews from clients)
