Why did you become a naturopath?

I was first drawn to studying natural medicine as i had a strong interest in alternative therapies, martial arts, yoga and healing since a very young age. Prior to my studies I also became unwell and went on a search to find natural solutions. Along the way I was supported by an amazing naturopath and was inspired to help others along with my family and friends with their health and preventative medicine.

Why did you join The Lucy Rose Clinic?

While I was studying I became interested in thyroid health and started seeing patients in this area. It was not long before I developed a passion, and wanted to learn more and contribute to this area in a team environment. When I found TLRC I knew this was the perfect match for me and something very unique.

What is the most memorable moment you’ve experienced at Lucy Rose?

The moment I realised I could inspire and support patients to take control of their health with our programs, and actually see the shifts and readiness to transform.

How do you think you can help patients?

With a martial arts, yoga, and traditional Indian healing background I feel I am able to support all kinds of people with programs that are quite diverse and yet aligned with the Lucy Rose thyroid and hormonal focus.

Why did you become a naturopath ?

Following a family member being diagnosed with bowel cancer, I became passionate about natural health and began studying the four year Advanced Diploma of Health Science (Naturopathy) and Diploma of Health Science (Nutritional and Herbal Medicine) qualification at Melbourne Collage of Natural Medicine. This helped me to understand the importance of the healing power of natural medicine, good nutrition, and healthy lifestyle. I am registered practicing member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) My past 16 years experience includes running a successful clinic in pharmacy, health food stores, gyms and community centers, specializing in Gut heath, hormone regulation, and stress management to help people live happily and healthily. Through my experience as a qualified Yoga teacher and Naturopath, I realised that the mind-body connection, and mindfulness is very important when improving a persons health.

Why did you join The Lucy Rose Clinic?

Having worked in private practice for a number of years, I was looking to be part of a greater team that had the ability to help people far and wide. I believe that the collective knowledge of the Lucy Rose Clinic team is at the forefront of the most up to date research, and therefore provides the best treatments for patients to regain optimal health.

What is the most memorable moment you’ve experienced at Lucy Rose?

Why did you become a naturopath ?

At a very early age I suffered with several heath issues including severe allergies, eczema and digestive problems. Unfortunately, pharmaceutical medications provided very little relief and no long term solution. Later I was introduced to Naturopathy and its fundamental concept of treating the symptoms as well as identifying and rectifying the causes. This way of healing the body proved to be life changing for my health and inspired me to study and practice Naturopathy, ultimately bringing knowledge and healing to others.

Why did you join The Lucy Rose Clinic?

After many years of private practice, I found that so many people were coming in suffering from underlying endocrine issues, particularly thyroid and adrenal related, usually for years or even decades without being properly diagnosed and treated. I found it very frustrating that such a large population were not getting the answers or relief they needed and only as a last resort were they finally coming in to see me to get to the bottom of their health issues and start taking back their life. Ultimately, I decided to make it official and specialise in naturopathic thyroid health at The Lucy Rose Clinic, which also has access to some truly fantastic specialised testing that goes above and beyond standard Medicare testing limitations.

What is the most memorable moment you’ve experienced at Lucy Rose?

There are many wonderful moments but one that stands out especially to me is a particular patient who, when I first met her, she had to drag herself through the door from extreme fatigue and cried continuously when she was explaining all of her health issues and how severely it was impacting her life. Several months into treatment she burst into tears again – happy tears this time – after telling me how much her life had changed for the better, saying she felt like a completely new person in so many ways and can actually see and experience the joy in life which she had almost given up on before meeting me.

How do you think you can help patients?

Helping people really take back that control of their health and seeing them change for the better is why I am so passionate about doing what I do. I understand that each person is different and there is no point in throwing a general treatment plan over your health issues and hoping for the best. Properly identifying what exactly is happening and treating you as a whole accordingly is what will enable that significant long-term, maintainable improvement.

Why did you become a naturopath ?

As a child I suffered from chronic bronchitis for many years. My parents had me treated by an acupuncturist, Chinese medicine doctors and finally naturopaths. It was my fascination with natural therapies as a teenager that created my long time love affair of naturopathy. I was determined that this was the career path for me. Some 20 years later, I’m still privileged to be doing what I love to do!

Why did you join The Lucy Rose Clinic?

I chose to join The Lucy Rose Clinic to expand my knowledge and professional experience in treating thyroid conditions. Having practised for many years, it felt like the ideal time to specialise in such a rewarding role. The Lucy Rose Clinic is such a fabulous company to work for. We are involved in a vast array of training experiences from thyroid specialists around the world. Our team has such a wealth of knowledge between us, so we have expert information at our fingertips.

What is the most memorable moment you’ve experienced at Lucy Rose?

The most memorable experience I have had working at Lucy Rose….well that’s a hard one! Would it be the weekly encounters I have with my patients who are finally getting their optimal health back and enjoying healthier and happier lives. Perhaps, the David Brownstein Australian tour back in 2016, where we travelled to his public speaking engagements and learned a kaleidoscope of information on his thyroid treatment protocols. Then there are our national training events each year where we indulge in days of nutritional, herbal and thyroid related research and catch up with all our staff nationwide. Too many memorable moments, to narrow it down to just one….

How do you think you can help patients?

I feel I can help my patients through better understanding of their thyroid conditions. Through the use of comprehensive diagnostic testing, thyroflex tests in clinic and compiling a thorough case history – thyroid treatment is so much easier to undertake. With the right answers, we have the definitive information we need to move forward and get patients felling well again. As symptoms disappear and good health is restored, lives are forever changed.

It’s amazing how powerful diet and natural medicine can be.

By using the power of testing (blood, urine, saliva and oligoscan), we can get an accurate assessment of our clients health. With this science, we apply our natural therapies to it. We get quicker results as we are not guessing what is wrong with them.
