How to Boost Energy Levels

By Lucy Rose Clinic

February 7, 2021

Imagine bounding to work eager to start your new project, or jumping up and down on your kid’s beds to excitedly wake them up for the day.

Or maybe you simply want to feel more motivated beyond a cup of coffee!

Either way, being a positive, energetic person doesn’t come naturally to all people. Some of us have to WORK to get that!

So today I have some powerful tips to boost your energy and help your positive mindset!

Ways to Boost Energy Levels

Drink This In The Morning

Overnight, your body detoxes. The liver dumps cholesterols into the bowel, as well as other metabolic waste by-products. A healthy body will evacuate the bowel soon after waking and activity.

Support your body better with 1 x 250ml glass of hot water with 1 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother) or the juice of 1/2 a lemon. Add a pinch of Himalayan salt. If you do not need to lose weight, you can add 1 teaspoon of raw honey.

This helps flush the digestive system, rehydrates the body, and allows easier absorption of food later in the day. Make sure you dilute it with a 2nd glass of filtered water to avoid wear on your teeth!

Move

Sitting in one position too long results in slow circulation and pooling of fluid in the legs. Research shows that moving more like our caveman and cavewoman ancestors is the healthiest approach. People evolved moving all day long with shorter rest periods. Instead of focusing on doing 1 long bout of exercise, try breaking it up through the day to many short bouts of movement. Even 5 minutes is enough to benefit your circulation, muscles, mood, and energy!

Posture

How you sit, stand, sleep, and move can really affect your energy levels. If you find yourself habitually hunching forward, or slouching in your chair – do something about it.

Be mindful of your posture and self-correct when you catch yourself – like now – are you slumping?

Breath in deeply, lengthening the spine as you inhale. Exhale and move your shoulders back and down, away from your ears. Feel the head lift like a turtle coming out of the shell. How do you walk? Look down – are your footprints showing the toes facing outwards or inwards? Is one more pronounced than the other? Maybe you need a massage or a spinal alignment? Perhaps your posture needs strength with yoga or Pilates?

Straightening our posture also boosts our confidence, self-esteem, and positive outlook. Give it a try!

These 3 tips are great reminders and truly can offer up to 10% more energy for many people.

But if you are beyond tired due to a hormone imbalance, then you may not gain benefit. This is where we step in.
