Have you been to the GP to get your thyroid tested only to find out your test results have come back ‘normal?’
We hear this time and time again at The Lucy Rose Clinic; you are not alone. The reason your test results come back normal is because the GP will usually test for TSH, Free T3, and Free T4.
You need more than three tests to determine accurate thyroid levels.
TSH, or thyroid stimulating hormone, is actually a pituitary hormone, not a thyroid hormone. It does not tell you your actual thyroid hormone levels, it is a useless ‘Gold Standard’ thyroid test.
Imagine your house is freezing cold, but the thermostat is reading normal…
That’s exactly what’s happening with your TSH. The radiator is broken, but the handy man keeps telling you your central heating is working just fine.
You’re not crazy, and there’s a reason you don’t feel well. You may also have your Free T3 and T4 tested only to be told everything looks fine as well.
Free T3 and Free T4 are important to check; however, if your body isn’t converting T4 into T3, you will also be told your blood work is ‘normal.’
You also need to have your Reverse T3 tested to see exactly what’s happening with your thyroid conversion rate.
Did you know it is a diagnostic requirement to have your antibodies tested to be properly diagnosed with a thyroid condition?
Here at The Lucy Rose Clinic we run a full blood panel to give you an accurate reading of exactly what’s happening with your thyroid when we detect a poor thyroflex reading.
Our blood panel includes:
- TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Anti-TPO, Anti-TG, TRABS, and Reverse T
For the next two weeks, you can book in a Free Introductory Call with a Qualified Practitioner to see if you need to have a further blood panel.
You can book in here: https://thelucyroseclinic.lpages.co/appointment/
Or you can call our head office to enquire about obtaining a blood draw form or to find out exactly how your thyroid is functioning.
Pick out a time when we can call you to schedule your in-clinic visit.
Don’t stay undiagnosed, under-medicated or be dismissed due to just having TSH tested.
If you have any questions or there is anything we can do for you, please feel free to call or email us.
Wishing you great energy and vitality!
