Why did you become a naturopath?
Growing up, I always wanted to be a doctor but didn’t get quite enough marks to do that when I finished high school. Then, after becoming a parent at a young age I realised that being a naturopath was actually a far better way of helping people. It is more pro-active, empowering and ultimately leads to fixing the issues once and for all and enabling the body to heal. I studied for years, one subject at a time while my kids were small. On reflection, I am so glad things turned out the way they did. I can’t imagine a career that could be more fulfilling.
Why did you join The Lucy Rose Clinic?
I have overcome lots of adversity in my own life. I want to empower my patients by giving them the tools that I accumulated on my journey to enable them to be the best version of themselves. I also wanted to work with people that made me enjoy coming to work and had a glass half full approach to life. I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this team.
What is the most memorable moment you’ve experienced at Lucy Rose?
Undoubtedly the camaraderie when we get together at our annual training days. There is not a single person that I work with whom I wouldn’t happily spend time with. My colleagues are an amazing bunch of women.
