Why did you become a naturopath ?

I have been interested in natural therapies for as long as I can remember- one of my favourite hobbies as a teenager was laying on my bed & reading Wellbeing magazine! My dad became ill when I was about 17, and we were so fortunate to have had access to both western and natural medicine. I remember him telling me about his visits to the Naturopath (my dad is a tough bricklayer by the way!) & I was completely awe-struck that working with herbs, diet, lifestyle & mindset was an option as a career! So when I turned 21 I moved from Adelaide to Sydney to study Naturopathy. Life rarely follows the trajectory we think it will & I waited 4 years before starting my studies once I actually got to Sydney! Working in a corporate environment gave me an intimate insight into the impact stress and a sedative lifestyle have on our health, and I found my own health starting to deteriorate. I became extremely fatigued, gained 12 kilos, felt sad and anxious, and just not like myself. A blessing in disguise- this drove me to re-discover my passion for natural health, and I’ve never looked back!

Why did you join The Lucy Rose Clinic?

After my own health crisis, I thought I was doing ALL the right things, and ALL of my test results were coming back fine- but I still didn’t feel right. I stumbled across the Lucy Rose Clinic one night when doing my own research & completely resonated with everything Lucy was discussing- it was like she was talking directly to me! This lead me to look deeper into thyroid health & functional testing, and has honestly changed my life! Being able to support others in doing the same is an absolute joy & honor, & not something I take for granted!

What is the most memorable moment you’ve experienced at Lucy Rose?

Oh gosh- so many! One that sticks in my mind is a gorgeous woman who had been to see multiple doctors & specialists, and had tried everything she could think of- over a 10 YEAR SPAN! I couldn’t imagine! She felt absolutely hopeless, but I found her tenacity to keep trying so inspiring. Through testing, we were able to uncover that, although she didn’t have obvious digestive issues, she was intolerant to many foods that she was consuming regularly. We were able to adjust her diet, which had an almost immediate impact on her chronic pain. This then gave her enough relief and clarity to move forward and make other changes. We are taking things step-by-step, and it is a beautiful thing to support her each step of the way!

How do you think you can help patients?

I offer a safe space where patients can feel heard & understood, and this space is always judgement free! It is really important to me that patients feel empowered to reclaim their health and vitality, and I am here to offer as many tools as possible to support them.
